A wind gust of 35 knots (40 MPH) was measured by a personal weather station at Tom Point (KMDFISHI2) adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and Tangier Sound.
The wider storm
A cold front ignited scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. The most intense thunderstorms produced localized swaths of damaging wind gusts, with considerable wind gusts measured in southern Maryland.
