A wind gust of 45 knots (52 MPH) was measured by a mesonet on the US-50 Choptank River Bridge (MD004).
Wider weather episode
A cold front ignited scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. The most intense thunderstorms produced localized swaths of damaging wind gusts, with considerable wind gusts measured in southern Maryland.
