Wind gusts of up to 43 knots (49 MPH) were measured by the ASOS at Patuxent River Naval Air Station (KNHK) adjacent to the Chesapeake Bay and tidal Patuxent River.

A cold front ignited scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. The most intense thunderstorms produced localized swaths of damaging wind gusts, with considerable wind gusts measured in southern Maryland.
