Wider weather episode

A surface low formed along a stationary front across central Virginia during the evening of June 8. This low moved east overnight into the early morning hours of June 9. Scattered storms formed in response to the surface low and moved across portions of the lower Chesapeake Bay and James River in the early morning hours of June 9, producing gusty winds. Another isolated storm moved across the lower Chesapeake Bay during the afternoon of June 9, producing gusty winds.
