An area of low pressure tracked across the Ohio Valley on June 8. A stationary front attached to the low was located across central to southeast Virginia. Meanwhile, a secondary surface low formed along the stationary front during the evening of June 8. Scattered storms developed during the morning along a remnant MCV and during the afternoon and evening of June 8. These storms produced damaging winds and hail as they moved across portions of central and eastern Virginia. Occasional rotating was also noted as storms interacted with the stationary front.
