Isolated to scattered supercell thunderstorms developed ahead of complex of thunderstorms that formed along a pre-frontal trough axis approaching NW Alabama during the mid-day hours on May 2nd, 2025. This activity continued to develop as this complex of thunderstorms formed into more than one line of strong to severe thunderstorms that pushed across northern Alabama during the mid to late afternoon hours. Numerous reports of wind damage were reported and hail up to golf ball size (especially in severe supercells that developed ahead of the line) occurred.
