Event narrative

The N7SHZ Medicine Butt Mountain mesonet station recorded a wind gust of 67 mph as a result of outflow winds associated with a nearby cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving through the area.

Wider weather episode

A weak northern stream shortwave trough moving through the northwest CONUS resulted in the development of high based convection. Some of this convection resulted in strong to severe wind gusts in southwest Wyoming.
