Thunderstorm winds blew down two trees near the intersection of Old Curdsville Road and Bishop Creek Road and Buckingham Springs Road.

The wider storm

A cold front entered the Appalachian Mountains and produced numerous severe thunderstorms across southwest Virginia. Damaging wind gusts from these storms blew down numerous trees and power lines. A few of these trees fell on to two houses in Henry County, another house in Pittsylvania County, and a car in Halifax County.
