Thunderstorm winds blew down two trees with one along Beach Road and the other at the intersection of Cockerham Road and West Mount Herman Church Road.

A hot and humid air mass combined with orographical lift to produce a severe thunderstorm in Surry and Yadkin counties of northwest North Carolina. Damaging wind gusts from this storm blew down a few trees.
