A 35 kt measured at the La Quinta Channel station.

An MCS pushing through east-central Texas and into South Texas this mid-day outperformed expectations at least this far south. Guidance had suggested the bulk of the activity to stay north/east of our area, but more organized convection transpired rather than just the isolated to scattered activity previously expected. An outflow pushing out ahead of the convection led to marine thunderstorm winds.
