What the National Weather Service wrote

Severe (D2) drought conditions improved to moderate (D1) drought over a small portion of southeastern Cherry County in June. The cooperative observer at Valentine Lakes NWR reported 4.78 inches of precipitation in June. This was 0.25 inches above the normal of 4.53 inches. Valentine reported 4.51 inches of precipitation for June which was 0.55 inches above the normal of 3.96 inches.

The wider storm

Abundant rainfall fell in June across western and north central Nebraska. This led to improvement in drought conditions across almost all of western and north central Nebraska. By the end of the month, three pockets of severe (D2) drought remained. The first over the eastern Sandhills, the second over western Garden County and the third over southeastern Hayes into most of Frontier County.
