Event narrative

Winds took down a tree in the Goose Hill area, which landed on power wires and snapped a telephone pole in half. Additional wind damage in a nearby wooded area, where other trees were felled or damaged. Additional tree damage can be seen from Route 213 along a tree line. Damage may have been enhanced by a gustnado. Time estimated from radar.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved into a very warm, moist, and unstable airmass which resulted in widespread showers and thunderstorms. Some storms were severe, producing damaging wind gusts and hail across the Eastern Shore of Maryland. One storm also produced a tornado.
