An upper trough that neared the region on 7/9 entered the CWA on the 7/10, acting as the main forcing for convection during the afternoon and evening. The overall environment was similar to 7/9, with weak shear but moderate to strong instability and high PWAT's. This led to a severe thunderstorm in Orangeburg SC that caused tree damage and some roof damage to multiple buildings.
