Event narrative

The Mines Sprung Wildfire started in a remote section of Shamong Township with limited access. It eventually grew to include 6000 acres. Five structures were threatened, and evacuations were conducted at a local campsite and a preparatory academy. Six local roads were closed at one point during the fire.
