Several large trees snapped at their trunks on Mountain Creek Road by potent thunderstorm wind gusts.

Wider weather episode

A severe mesoscale convective system, MCS, moved west to east across southern Tennessee, northern Alabama, and northern Georgia during the afternoon of the 7th. This complex produced significant utility infrastructure and other wind related damages across the Chattanooga metro.
