The entire zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought in June. The Truth or Consequences Airport reported 1.85 inches of precipitation which was 1.44 inches above normal.

The wider storm

While June 2025 brought at least slightly above normal precipitation to most of the region, it wasn't enough to improve drought conditions for southern New Mexico. Extreme(D3) to Exceptional(D4) drought continued through the month.
