Event narrative

Training of thunderstorms with intense rainfall rates produced a swath of 3-8 inches of rain in San Antonio. A vehicle was swept into Leon Creek near Callaghan Rd. and Hwy 90 and the driver died. The vehicle was discovered on June 14th.

Wider weather episode

A mid-level shortwave trough moved over Texas and combined with an abnormally moist airmass to generate thunderstorms. These storms were very efficient rain producers dropping locally heavy rain that led to flash flooding. There were also a few severe thunderstorms.
