The National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated additional storm totals of 18 to 60 inches at elevations above 4000 feet, with amounts of 8 to 18 inches near Mt. Shasta City, and 4 to 8 inches down to lowest valley floors. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 4.72 inches at Mt. Shasta RAWS, 7.73 inches at Ash Creek, and 7.18 inches at McCloud.

Wider weather episode

An atmospheric river and stationary front brought heavy snow and gusty winds with the most significant impacts on 02/03 (Monday morning). The snowfall accumulation was high across the area, which was unusually high for areas east of the Cascades.
