The National Gridded Snowfall Analysis indicated snowfall off 4 to 18 inches at elevations above 4000 feet. Precipitation amounts in the zone included 1.13 inches at Dutch Indy, 0.47 inches at Quartz Hill, 0.58 inches at Quartz Valley Road, and 0.78 inches at Sawyers Bar.

Wider weather episode

The first of two cold fronts moving in quick succession across southern Oregon and northern California brought heavy snow to elevations above 4000 feet in Siskiyou County.
