Nine trees were downed by thunderstorm winds, including three that were uprooted, and one which landed on a power line.

Isolated thunderstorms formed along the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia due to orographic forcing in a limited instability environment. These storms moved east into the Piedmont and Southside regions, where one damaged multiple trees, with one falling onto a power line.
