Downed trees along Leon Road resulted in nearby power outages.

The month of June proved to be hot and humid on most days, resulting in isolated to scattered thunderstorm develop each afternoon around the area. On June 13th, a few of these developing storms ventured into eastern Kentucky and resulted in downed trees in local towns within Carter and Greenup Counties. These storms were strongly coincided with daytime heating and therefore dissipated quickly during the evening as the sun began to set.
