Event narrative

The month started with Exceptional(D4) drought over the south and Extreme(D3) drought north. By the end of the month, the entire zone was in Exceptional(D4) drought. The Cooperative Observer in Cliff had 3.88 inches of rainfall, with over 2 inches near the end of the month, which was 1.19 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Most areas west of the Continental Divide had below normal precipitation once again, but some areas east of the Divide had above normal precipitation which resulted in some minor drought improvements.
