Event narrative

Extreme(D3) drought continued across the zone in July. The Hillsboro Cooperative Observer reported 2.29 inches of precipitation which was 0.21 inches above normal.

Wider weather episode

Most areas west of the Continental Divide had below normal precipitation once again, but some areas east of the Divide had above normal precipitation which resulted in some minor drought improvements.
