The weatherflow measuring station at Point Judith recorded a wind gust of 44 mph. No damage was reported.
Wider weather episode
A slow moving cold front moved through southern New England and produced a long line of showers and thunderstorms that tracked east across the area. Much of this line of storms was severe with damaging thunderstorm winds and occasional hail.
