The zone began the month in Extreme(D3) drought but by July 8th had improved to Moderate(D1) drought. The Cooperative Observer in Mountain Park recorded 2.94 inches of precipitation which was 0.65 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Consecutive months of above normal precipitation for most of the Sacramento Mountains helped to improve the drought conditions to Moderate(D1) by early July.
