Mesonet station BQFO3 Basque Hills recorded a wind gust of 59MPH associated with a passing thunderstorm.

Wider weather episode

On June 19th, a shortwave embedded in southwesterly flow crossed over eastern Oregon and southwest Idaho. Sufficient mid-level moisture paired with the synoptic lift allowed thunderstorms to develop. With a dry boundary layer being observed, wind gusts were the primary hazard.
