A brief waterspout was spotted about 3.5 miles offshore, near Apra Habor, from Naval Base Guam. Time and distance was estimated from a report shared with the office, compared wit available radar data. No damage or injuries were reported.

Wider weather episode

Light winds created ideal conditions for thunderstorms to develop near the western shores of Guam. This environment is also support of waterspout development as winds in the first 3,000 feet are light and then slowly increase in height.
