High surf of ten to fourteen feet combined with higher than normal tides to cause coastal flooding on Kihei Road. Officials closed the southbound lanes between Uwapo and Ohukai Roads for repairs.

A large long period south swell brought large surf and dangerous conditions to south facing shores of each island.
