The Fabens Mesonet station run by the Texas Water Development Board recorded a peak gust of 62 mph.

Wider weather episode

A dryline was located near the El Paso/Hudspeth County Line with very dry air and dew point depressions of over 60 degrees with modest moisture to the east of the dryline. Storms developed in the area and one produced a severe wind gust around Fabens.
