An NWS Student Volunteer reported hail up to one inch in diameter east of Cloudcroft.
Wider weather episode
Lingering monsoonal moisture combined with an upper trough moving southeast through the region helped to trigger some stronger thunderstorms over the Sacramento Mountains with hail up to an inch in diameter falling between Cloudcroft and Mayhill.
