A wildfire started near Pocatello at 1245 pm MDT. Gate City residents living north of the switchback on North Lincoln Street in the area of the City Creek trail system were evacuated. The fire reached acres but was contained and controlled quickly and no damages occurred and the evacuation order was lifted by 8 pm MDT.
