The PAGK (Gulkana Airport), KLAA2 (Gulkana), and JCTA2 (Klawasi) weather stations reported temperatures at or above 75F, breezy winds near 15 mph, and relative humidity levels near or below 25% between 4 PM and 8 PM AKDT on August 6th.

Wider weather episode

In early August, A persistent ridge of high pressure set up over Southcentral Alaska. This ridge, centered in the Gulf of Alaska, brought above average temperatures, breezy winds and, low relative humidity levels to the Copper River Basin on August 6th.
