Approximately 2 to 4 inches of snow fell across the northern portion of Butler County. Areas in the southern half of the county observed 5 to 7 inches of snow. An indirect fatality occurred when a truck struck a stalled vehicle that was part of a previous multi-vehicle accident, ejecting the driver of the stalled car.

A historic snowstorm transformed the northern Gulf Coast into a winter wonderland on January 21, 2025. This snowstorm shattered longstanding snowfall records across the region, including the nearly 130-year-old snowfall records that were set during the February Snowstorm of 1895. The highest observed snowfall totals were approximately 10 inches along the coast, with less than an inch of snow observed north of US-84. An indirect fatality occurred when a truck struck a stalled vehicle that was part of a previous multi-vehicle accident, ejecting the driver of the stalled car.
