Event narrative

A tree and power lines fell onto a vehicle in the 1400 block of Highway 29, causing entrapment of the occupant. Injuries were not life-threatening.

Wider weather episode

A line of thunderstorms moving quickly along a cold-front tapped into significant low level shear and instability to cause widespread and significant wind damage across swaths of north Georgia. Winds of nearly 90mph were observed even as the line weakened.
