Power lines were blown down on Taylorville Road approximately one mile north of the Christian-Montgomery county line.

Wider weather episode

A slow-moving cold front draped across northern Illinois triggered a broken line of strong thunderstorms during the evening of July 11th. While these storms remained sub-severe, a cluster of cells well ahead of the front produced damaging wind gusts of around 60mph and minor wind damage in parts of Christian County.
