Tree down in the road at the 1400 block of Riverbend Rd. Trees likely more easily felled by heavy rainfall.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms formed during the afternoon hours of the 27th in an environment of ample CAPE. Initial convection began along the mountains of North Georgia and developed slowly to the south. Slow storm motion posed mostly a flash flooding threat with notable flash flooding in the Metro, however storms were able to produce large hail and some gusty winds.
