Nickel to quarter-sized hail reported in Holly Springs.

Scattered thunderstorms formed during the afternoon hours of the 27th in an environment of ample CAPE. Initial convection began along the mountains of North Georgia and developed slowly to the south. Slow storm motion posed mostly a flash flooding threat with notable flash flooding in the Metro, however storms were able to produce large hail and some gusty winds.
