Sporadic tree damage from west Athens near Bridge Road and Russel Way to east Athens at Gaynes School Rd and northeast to Winterville.

Wider weather episode

Widespread afternoon thunderstorms developed with a passing shortwave. CAPE and DCAPE values were strong enough for storms to sporadically become strong with gusty to damaging winds. The most concentrated damage occurred in the Gainesville area.
