Event narrative

The local fire department in Nelson reported half dollar sized hail 2 miles north-northwest of Nelson.

Wider weather episode

During the evening hours on June 19th, a lone supercell brought large hail to portions of west-central Wisconsin before it moved south and weakened. Additional storms just after midnight moved into portions of Taylor County and produced quarter sized hail and some localized tree damage due to wind gusts of 60-65 mph.
