A low pressure system crossed eastern New York on July 1, 2025. Warm and humid conditions resulted in heat index values (feels-like temperatures) reaching 95 to 100 degrees across the mid-Hudson Valley during the afternoon hours. In addition, showers and thunderstorms, some severe, developed ahead of a cold front downing trees and wires.
