A tree and wires were downed leading to a road closure on US Route 9W north of Ulster Avenue.

Wider weather episode

Showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front during the afternoon hours on July 3, 2025 across eastern New York. Some of the storms became severe downing trees and wires, especially across areas south and east of Albany. Isolated instances of 1 inch hail was also observed.
