Event narrative

There were reports of flooded roadways and a couple of water intrusion into structures in the city of Greensboro and locations to the south.

Wider weather episode

Isolated storms developed in the afternoon over the northeast Piedmont and Coastal Plain in a warm and humid airmass. The storms then drifted slowly west and southwest in the evening hours over the Piedmont and Sandhills. Some isolated wind damage and flash flood reports were observed.
