Heavy rain throughout the first half of June resulted in the Cedar River at Lansing reaching flood stage during the overnight on June 16th before reaching a crest of 18.61 feet during the early morning hours on June 17th in minor flood stage. The river then fell below flood stage just after noon on June 17th.
