Event narrative

Trained Spotter reported a cottonwood tree down over a road in Cleary Lake Regional Park.

Wider weather episode

Scattered storms developed on the afternoon of June 30 over northern Minnesota and Wisconsin, traveling southeast through the evening. One of the stronger storms moved through the western and southern Twin Cities metro, knocking down a cottonwood tree just southeast of Prior Lake. It was determined that these wind gusts were sub-severe.
