A wind gust of 34 knots was measured by a WeatherFlow station at the Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Islamorada Substation.

Scattered gale-force wind gusts occurred in association with thunderstorms that developed over the Upper Florida Keys and adjacent coastal waters. These thunderstorms were well south of a stationary frontal boundary positioned across the central Florida peninsula, as the western portion of a ridge across the western north Atlantic moved northward.
