Numerous reports of blown down trees and power lines were received from the public, spotters, and media throughout Oconee County. The ASOS at the Oconee County Regional Airport measured a wind gust of 56 kts, or 64 mph.

Wider weather episode

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms moved into upstate South Carolina from north Georgia and moved quickly across the area during the early evening. The storms produced multiple areas of damaging wind gusts.
