Broadcast media reported that a man drowned after being swept away by rip currents in Playa Jobos (Jobos Beach) in Isabela.

A man drowned during the afternoon hours of July 27th after being swept away by rip currents. A moderate risk of rip currents was in effect for the area at that time due to moderate to fresh easterly winds and choppy seas. Additionally, hazy conditions were present.
