Flash flooding was reported in the Ponce Bypass area (main street) near Highway PR 2, with radar estimates indicating approximately 1 to 3 inches of rainfall.

Wider weather episode

A tropical wave, alongside diurnal heating and local effects, promoted showers and thunderstorms over south-central to southwestern Puerto Rico. Ponce, in particular, was heavily affected as Flash Flooding was reported. Between 2 and 4 inches, locally higher, fell during the afternoon to around 6 PM.
