A few trees were blown down by thunderstorm winds and the roof of an outdoor shed was blown off as well near Blanch Road.

An abundance of low level convergence in a very moist environment was supported by an upper level trough, causing the formation of severe thunderstorms in the Piedmont Region of northern North Carolina.
