Event narrative

Nettleton Gulch Fire was started around 1220 PST on June 29 Eat of Hayden, Idaho. It was a deliberate human caused fire. The individual then fired on first responders causing 2 fatalities and one injury. It continued until July 5 and burned 23 acres of timber and grass. Cost is estimated.

Wider weather episode

No significant weather event occurred for the North Idaho Panhandle. A few small wildfires were started. One fire was intentionally set by an individual that ambushed first responders. He fatally shot two. The rest of the fires did not burn a reportable size or did not cause significant damage.
